August by-election in the Vale

**For information only: Nominations closed**.

The Parish of the Vale will be holding a parish by-election on Wednesday 4 August for a Douzenier.

The Douzenier will finish the term of M. Torode, who has moved out of the parish (term ends Dec 2022).

Completing someone else’s term is a good way to test the water before standing for a full term at a future election.

Have a look at the Vale Parish website and, if you’re interested, pop into the Vale Douzaine Room to find out more and ask for a nomination form – or call 244155.

Nomination forms must be returned by 4pm on Monday 26 July. The nomination form just needs the signatures of two people who are on the electoral roll in the Vale.

The election is due to be held at a parish meeting in the Vale Douzaine Room at 7pm on Wednesday 4 August 2021.

There’s a full description of the role of a Douzenier here – including a video from Victoria Robinson, the youngest Douzenier in the Vale.

The parish election process is explained here.

Feel free to get in touch with us if we can help in any way – hello@womeninpubliclife.gg.

Closed Monday 26 July 2021.
