The States have appointed Dr Jane Wonnacott to the board of the Data Protection Authority.
Jane already uses her digital skills in her non-executive roles with the Guernsey Disability Alliance and Guernsey Chest and Heart and she is looking forward to bringing her specialist IT experience to the DPA.
‘Having had a career in information technology, I’ve spent the majority of my career working with data in its various technical forms,’ Jane said. ‘I am delighted to be able to offer some of this experience back by working with the Data Protection Authority and supporting them on their mission to deliver both effective and independent data regulation for Guernsey’.
Jane applied for the role after seeing it advertised in the Women in Public Life newsletter.
