The Committee for Economic Development is creating a new Tourism Management Board which will be responsible for developing the long term strategy for tourism in Guernsey.
Once in post, the independent Chair will recruit the board members.
The Chair will have an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the future vision, direction and plans for the tourism industry in Guernsey, working closely with tourism industry, political stakeholders and with officers within VisitGuernsey.
Candidates will be expected to have a high level of integrity, proven team building skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities. They must be capable of forging excellent relationships with a group of strong individuals, whilst stimulating and encouraging diverse thinking in the team.
Time commitment
The Board will meet in person six times a year with additional meetings from time to time.
Remuneration
Minimum time commitment will be 24 days per year for a fee of £15,000 plus associated expenses.
