The Parole Review Committee (PRC) is seeking to appoint a member.
The PRC is the independent body that protects the public by assessing prisoners and deciding whether they can safely be released into the community, with conditions. Members are required to read various reports that have been produced by experienced professionals and decisions are made in small teams.
The PRC is keen to hear from people interested in spending 3 to 4 days per month to undertake this unique and important role. Knowledge of the criminal justice system or, experience of conducting risk assessments is desirable.
Anybody who is interested in finding out more should contact the PRC for an information pack. Applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check prior to appointment.
