Are you interested in helping to preserve Guernsey’s local language?
The Guernsey Language Commission is looking for a new Chair who has experience of operating at a senior level, a good knowledge of corporate governance and is able to further develop and manage a small team.
A knowledge of, or ability to speak, Guernesiais is not essential but an interest to learn would be an advantage, as would experience gained from within the charitable or not for profit sector. The role is voluntary.
The time commitment is 10-12 board meetings a year and preparation of an annual report. Plus representing the Commissions at events and meetings.
