Two Douzeniers for St Sampson’s

**For information only: Applications closed**.

The Parish of St Sampson will be holding a parish by-election on Wednesday 1 April 2026 for two Douzeniers.

The Douzeniers will complete terms that finish in December 2028.

Completing a term is a good way to test the water before standing for a full four-year term at a future election.

St Sampson’s currently has three women Douzeniers out of a total of 10.

If you’re interested in standing, pop into the Constables Office in Le Murier between 9am and 12.30am on a weekday morning to find out more and ask for a nomination form. Or call 244130 or email constables@stsampson.gg. Nomination forms must be returned by 4pm on Monday 23 March. The nomination form just needs the signatures of two people who are on the electoral roll in St Sampson’s.

The election is due to be held at a parish meeting in the St Sampson’s Church Community Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1 April 2026.

There’s a full description of the roles of Douzenier and Constable here – including videos.

The parish election process is explained in this guide to the 2025 elections here.

Feel free to get in touch with us if we can help in any way – hello@womeninpubliclife.gg.

Closed at 4pm on Monday 23 March 2026.
